military uniforms?

Can you purchase military uniforms with out you serving or being enlisted? my friend wanted to know. she wants to buy it and keep it kuz she says she respects our troops which i do too. god bless.

2. You probably can, but that's not the proper way to respect and honor the troops. A uniform worn improperly or by a non-servicemember, or both, would be more of an insult than an honor.

5. you can go to any u.s or army surplus store. they have pretty much every type of uniform there.
6. Purchase yes, wear no. The buttons alone can get you a felony charge under current US law. SSG US Army 73-82
7. Mightn't it be better to get a t-shirt or something? Wearing any part of the uniform when you are not a member is not honoring the servicemembers, who have worked hard to earn the right to wear them.
8. You can find places to purchase uniforms surplus or replicas, however, some uniforms aren’t for sale to civilians and the wearing of the uniform by someone who is not a service-member or veteran is improper and possibly illegal.
9. You can purchase them but wearing them is another story. It also depend on which uniforms some are harder to get than other: Technically, it is illegal to wear military uniforms, with badges and ribbons/medals that you did not earned while in service. If you get caught wearing these items you can get arrested. Exceptions: if you are in a film that requires a uniform. Combat Utilities should have similar rules as uniforms assuming that they are still used in a particular branch. However, most people, military folks, and Vets do not mind some kid wearing a uniform or a group of airsofters/paintballers wearing ACUs, MARPAT utilities, etc to their games and that's it. If it's not reported then these civilians wearing Combat Utility Uniforms will not be prosecuted. Tactical Tailor has some good Combat Utilities as well as Military Surplus Stores, and places that sell airsoft or paintball guns, supplies, gear and clothing.
