Police Officers!what would a Private person w/ PERC & FOILD card need to fully lawfully do Security privately?

I am in Chicago,IL... I have my PERC card, FOID card, 40 hr unarmed and armed training and military background. what would send a person who is working for a gas station or a small corner store, working security( no security company just me and my documents) to jail?? what all would i need? I plan to be armed and wear a uniform.... thanks

1. You have to be working for a state licensed or have your own state license as a security company, to do that kind of work. Your tan card only allows you to carry to and from you work site in uniform while working for a licensed (and insured which is part of the licensing) security company. You can try to get a real security company to carry you as an independent for a small fee. Otherwise go to Springfield, take the test and become a security company. What would send your to jail? If you got into a fight and someone complained or if you used your weapon, even just drawing it and someone notified the police, the normal check done by a patrol officer (and in Chicago by a filed lieutenant since the station is a licensed premise) would demand your companies required telephone number to check on your work status. No legit company you go to jail for UUW (720 ILCS 24-10). Your gun is taken and inventoried and you do not get it back without a local district commander approving you getting it back. Your actions are reported to the sate and you lose your tan (PERC) card.
