Someone in China is interested in buying my used and new military uniforms. Should I sell to him?
He owns a military surplus store, similar to what we have here in the states. My only concern is what the uniforms may be used for...who knows, (i.e. Movies, Propaganda, anti-US protest). Do companies such as US Calvary ship to China? Should this even be a concern, I just want to get rid of these uniforms that I have no need for. I'd like to get your opinions. Thanks, TC

- Keep them for paintball.
- Never sell your uniforms overseas to anyone. Terrorist can get a hold of these uniforms and pretend they are US forces and seriously do some damage.
- I honestly wouldn't be concerned about it. Maybe it's just me, but if they really want the uniforms they will get them. Just one person refusing to sell to them really isn't a big deal. They are going to protest or make movies or whatever with or without uniforms for props. Why not make a little money off of them?? If you feel uncomfortable selling to him don't. and wait for another buyer to come along, you may have to wait a bit, but someone will buy them eventually.
- im pretty sure youre not aloud to do that, why would you? sell it to an american army store, not chinese.
- no way! you don't need to make it any easier for foreigners to impersonate US soldiers.
- NO
- If he wants uniforms he can buy them on ebay. I'm in the military and I don't see a problem at all. On the other hand. I'm sure it would be much easier to sell them here.
- No! There is a Salafist Jihadist group in China which is similar to Al Queda. They are known as the East Turkistan Liberation Front. Your uniforms could wind up moving through the terrorist network and wind up being used for evil purposes. In case you think I am joking, there are over three hundred civilian airline uniforms which wound up missing from a warehouse in Europe in 2003 and they still haven't been found. Look around your area for a veterans museum. They use such uniforms for their displays and you wind up with a tax write-off in the bargain for a charitable contribution.
- Absolutely not. This guy may get uniforms from somewhere, but you shouldn't get involved. It's against regulations, too. Rip them to shreds and throw them away, or burn them. And remove all your name tapes and patches (keep them, or destroy them too). If 'bad guys' are getting ahold of military uniforms, you can keep your conscience clear by taking no part in this kind of thing.
- DONT sell them, like someone said before me, terrorists can get a hold of them and pretend to be american soldiers. just keep them or sell them to someone stateside
- do i smell paranoia.
